I absolutely love this meditation. I’ve been doing it on insight timer for years. I’ve always had trouble meditating, but this exercise really works for me. I try others, but I always come back to this one. I love your calming voice as well. This meditation is what made me want to take your live sessions and 30 day challenge. Thank you so much for this!

Great question Violet. Yes, it’s safe to do during pregnancy and you can simply place your hand gently on your belly to feel it rise and fall. Of course, like anything, trust your body and your intuition. If something doesn’t feel good, don’t do it. How wonderful for you and your little one that you’re taking the time to meditate while pregnant.

This is certainly a breathing exercise I need to practice. I found it difficult to exhale a 6 count. I am sure it gets better with practice.

I had problems in breathing that long, as I have COPD. Will it improve with practice? Do others have a problem with breathing in for a 6 count?
If it’s difficult for you to breathe that long, please adjust the breath to whatever works for you. Yes, some people have difficulty breathing in that long (it also depends how fast you count in your own mind!), and the breath should feel relaxing not forced so definitely adjust to whatever works for you. Perhaps try 4 instead of 6 or find the tempo that you like best.

aww, thank you Milena. It can be a great way to relax before bed, I often use this at night to let go of all the tension from the day.
It winds the entire body down. Fantastic . I did this meditation just now, in front of my fireplace on my back , the fireplace makes the wooden floor very warm . It is now my go to, right after getting my toddler to sleep. Takes all the chaos of the day away.
