I remember the day I was freed from road frustration.
I was late picking up my wife from work, and the car in front of me was going so slow. I was so upset that they were “making me late”. Then I became aware that even at the slow pace, I was going to turn in less than a minute, so they wouldn’t be adding nearly a minute to my time. I saw the energy I was wasting being frustrated with someone, over seconds of my life. Then I was able to let it go.
Now when I find myself frustrated with traffic, I simply ask “What is really going on?” And I can accept the truth.
Thank you for sharing this story. It makes a powerful difference in my life!
Wow, what a beautiful story Eric! How wonderful that you had that awareness in the moment and were able to see the energy you were wasting and let it go. YAY!!! That’s really inspiring. Thank you for sharing.
Thank you for sharing this story. It brought tears to my eyes. I hope that by doing this 30 day challenge I will learn how to more mindful. I feel like I really miss a lot of interactions with my children and husband because my mind is so busy with other thoughts.
aww, thank you for being here Gabrielle. I hear you – my mind wanders a lot with my husband and children too…and I teach this stuff!! It’s so easy to be distracted constantly, especially with our phones. Which is why I continue to practice mindfulness!
I love this story it moved me too the first time I heard it in a Tara Brach’s speech, they’re good friends with Jack Kornfield and sometimes share their stories, I love them both! Sometimes I wonder if and when I’ll be able to apply mindfulness to my angry outbursts (possibly before exploding). But your meditation challenge is of great help, that’s always such a welcome event of the year for me! I appreciate what you do very very much. Thank you also for not hiding how moved you were by it, we need more sincerity and vulnerability in this world.
Such an inspiring, yet sad story… Thank you so much for sharing it, Vanessa!
Yes, so moving isn’t it? Glad you found it helpful.
Ready ready ready
We’re ready for you Robin and so glad you’re here!
You made me cry too. Thank you for sharing that story. I will be repeating it also
aww, thank you for being here Charlene. And for your soft, sweet heart. 🙂

I tend to move at a pretty fast pace internally. I have learned to take 3 or 5 deep breaths to stay present and be in the sacred slow…it really works!
Thank you, great story!
Thanks Kara! Glad you enjoyed it.
Thank you for sharing this beautiful story. I love the phrase, ‘have a mindful moment’.

Such an amazing and motivational story! I have never been one for meditating but can see how it can bring happiness in my life.
That is a beautiful story. You never know what people are going through.
I completely agree Alicia. Glad you enjoyed it!
