At the beginning of this meditation, I pledged to write my gratefulness once a month, but instead of focusing on what went wrong during the day and ruminate in negativity, I will focus on what during the day made me feel thankful. I will be happier because my spirit, my soul’s GPS will be making uplifting connections. Isn’t that what happiness and peace are all about? The video was amazing. I downloaded the gratefulness handout.
Oh my dear!! Watching Brother David Steindl-Rast’s video was one of the most helpful and meaningful ways I could ever imagine spending 5 minutes. I am adding his video to my morning meditation ritual… with gratitude to you, Vanessa, for sharing it.
I completed your entire 15-day program and enjoyed it! Because of a challenging family situation, I have gradually been working through the concepts you presented. Some parts were a great review, and others helped me confirm my amazing progress. Life is difficult, but God is our ultimate source of comfort, healing, and peace. No one has a carefree journey on this Earth. We are in this together. Your guidance is invaluable.
I so appreciate you saying this Raema! Congratulations on completing the challenge! So proud of you and your progress!
I have a relative of a different ethnicity, whom I plan to write or call. I always express gratitude for what she has done for me, but it occurred to me to mention that I see many people of her ethnicity in various settings and am so proud to tell them about her and her offspring. They are always pleased to hear it.
I also am grateful and fire back a thanks for getting family and friends’ emails that make me laugh, a good healthy laugh. I’m so fortunate to have these people with clever phrasing and wry wit.
Weekly I express gratitude to families and others who get up early and leave at 3 or 4 a.m. to bring fresh pesticide-free produce to farmers market where I’ve been buying produce for more than two decades. It is such a great feeling to pass on compliments from those at my dinner table on how delicious the strawberries, for example, are. Certified organic. Some smaller growers can’t afford the certification but grow without pesticides.
And thanks to you, Vanessa, for a fantastic program that can be enjoyed and of great benefit to those on fixed incomes.
This is beautiful L! There is so much to be grateful for! You see the world in your own unique way. Thank you for seeing it with beauty and sharing your gratitude to others. You are a light.
Our ancestors made your life easier and now we should be participate to make our future generation better, best lives for them. This meditation made me to think in this way.I am happy with this.
Thank you for sharing!
I appreciate the very specific actions in todays fireside chat. Being very specific on your gratitude with details really hit me today. The practice of once a week also was a new item for me versus what I have read in the past.
I received a gratitude email from a former co worker who is doing her gratitude practice. I am sure she is benefiting from this but to receive it was very touching. We had not worked together for over 5 years so it was surprising to receive. The reaching out to others magnifies the impact.
I am not seeing the video link?
Thank you! I find practicing gratitude by writing in a journal lifts my vibration! Like the idea of writing weekly and more meaningful to increase the positive feeling! 🙏❤️
I feel that way as well! Thank you for sharing your experience with writing. It is so powerful!
Thank you for this beautiful medication on gratitude and being specific about what I am grateful for each day. I’m grateful that you reminded me of all of the simple things around me (roof over my head, windows to see the outside views, and people (name them one by one) that mean so much to me. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
Yes of course! There is so much to be grateful for that we seem to take for granted. I’m grateful you are here Linda and for your comment!! Thank you!
The right meditation for me today-How could I have not noticed how much I’m grateful for in this moment. Thank you, Vanessa, for the sweet reminder!
