I love this one so much.
I need to work on self care. 😊

Thank you, Vanessa. It was nice to speak gentle, kind words while hugging myself, then sharing the message with others and finally bringing it back to me to fuse that energy.

Thank you, Vanessa, for the gentle reminder for self-care. Serving the needs of others leaves little time to think or act on my own needs. This is my mantra for the day!

Amazing to hear that you are using even this challenge for self-care and thinking of yourself as well! Love that you are using for your mantra!

  • Avatar photo Robin says:

    Echoing “so simple, so profound.”

I mixed it up a bit, and said the wish/affirmation in the present moment, “I am happy and free from suffering.”

Thank you Vanessa. Truly awesome work:)

So simple. So profound. We are all worthy of feeling free from suffering. Thank you. I just read a chapter in Brené Brown’s book “Atlas Of The Heart.” The chapter was titled “Places We Go When We Fall Short” and of course self-compassion was the big, huge, triumphant antidote. Today’s meditation was perfect after my reading and difficult reflections.

Nice to feel how personal compassion can be so connected to others. Thank you for 5 minutes of sending and receiving good energy

  • Avatar photo Della Wittig says:

Thanks Vanessa. I sure find it easier to give others self compassion than myself. I’ve been on a long hard journey for the last 6 years, and now am coming to the end of a lot of the pain. I need to recognize that I deserve self love and compassion. Thank you🙏

    • Avatar photo Vanessa Loder says:

Hmm, I understand that Della. We are hardest on ourselves. You are more than deserving of all of it!! Thank you!

  • Avatar photo Clara says:

May I be HAPPY and free from suffering! Awesome and deeply emotional meditation today too, Vanessa. Thanks a million :-). It/ You made my day, as I was really, really nervous and anxious before doing the meditation. Thank you so much.

    Beautiful. Thanks Vanessa!

  • Avatar photo Julie Ballard says:

I am a week behind, so I’ve only practiced the first 7 meditations, but this one today (5 Minutes of Self-compassion) was by far the most powerful for me. I really felt focused yet “out of my head”, so to speak. There was a flood of people appearing and waiting for me to wish happiness on them. I did not have to wait for a moment for anyone to appear. I eventually had to graciously close the shop and return to take care of myself…and that felt good, it felt right. Thank you, Vanessa, for your wonderful teachings.

  • Avatar photo Ellen says:

This was beautiful. A wonderful way to start the day and amazing how many people came to mind.

It felt so quick. Good session thank you.

  • Avatar photo Paul says:

  • Avatar photo Anna says:

it is the first time I hear a escape from the buddhist mantra that life is suffering.
“May I be happy and avoid suffering?” This is very good!

  • Avatar photo Linda J Colgrove says:

My sweet Aunt is in the last stages of her life this week, and I could not find the right words to comfort her in my prayers. Thank you for providing this beautiful mantra for BOTH of us today. Peace is everything.
