    I imagined I could see but didn’t actually see anything.
    For years I’ve tried to remember my dreams but not able to no matter what I have tried to help remember.

    • That’s interesting Gayle. Have you tried hypnosis? There is a great book on dream work that I highly recommend called Conscious Dreaming. The book has some suggestions on how to remember dreams including writing them down as soon as you wake up, and setting an intention before you go to sleep to remember your dreams…not sure if you’ve tried those techniques already but thought I’d mention them.

      When it comes to imagining things or listening to a guided visualization, you may also be a more auditory or tactile person vs visual, for example. If you try using all 5 senses, you may find some are stronger than others and you’re able to access the vision more easily through different senses.

    Love this meditation! However, how can you manage if one part of your life 5 years from now is just not possible? I was just told I should not have anymore children and my ideal was always 2 and have 1 beautiful little girl now.

    • Thanks Jennifer! Congratulations on your 1 beautiful little girl. While it may not seem possible, the more you envision your future life, the more things will come into alignment. There are many ways for our desires to be met when we are open and aligned with what’s most important to us. And our desires can shift over time. Sometimes, I think I want something and then as I visualize it, it becomes clear that I want something different. Or you may be surprised to get what you want, only it comes in a form you weren’t expecting. For example, you may decide to adopt another child, or your ideal of 2 children may change to 1 child, or maybe you’ll become someone’s god parent…there are many ways for your desires to be realized when you’re open and not clinging to a single outcome. Sometimes it can help to ask 7 Layers of Why. So you name the thing you want, then ask yourself; “WHY do I want that?” Example: to feel even more love in my life. Then ask 2nd layer; “and WHY do you want xxx (whatever you listed in layer 1)” so in this example, “why do you want more love in your life?” Because yyy… And WHY do you want that? and WHY do you want that? You keep asking WHY seven times to get at the deeper reason behind your desires. This can help give clarity.
