Anytime you find yourself complaining or resentful, take yourself through these four steps:

1) Complain for two minutes. Summarize your complaint in one sentence

2) “Hmmm, how am I contributing to this?”

3) “Hmmm, what is it I REALLY want?” (that is in my control and can be initiated by me)

4) “What am I willing to do to get what I want?”
